The Opportunity
This position works out of our Mississauga office in Canada for the Abbott Diabetes Care division.
We're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions.
We're revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.What You'll Do
Marketing Planning and Execution
- Lead HCP Marketing team in the development of the annual HCP Marketing Plan including both calledon and noncalled on plans targeting Endos and diabetes specialists, IM, GPs and pharmacists. Assist with annual ADC marketing plan as required.
- Identify and develop all programs and tactics required to achieve financial objectives.
- Manage various external agencies to deliver marketing programs and promotional materials ontime and onbudget.
- Effectively work with Sales teams to ensure successful implementation and execution of programs and tactics.
- Assist in identification and analysis of market research needs.
- Analysis and interpretation of market data (IMS, ACN, other external and internal reports)
- Market opportunity identification
- Prelaunch forecast and marketing plan.
- Product launch execution (translation, pricing, etc.)
Financial Planning and Reporting
- Provide monthly analysis of HCP Marketing performance vs goals and of key programs and initiatives.
- Assist in the development of ADC Plan and Update cycles as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in health sciences, Business or equivalent. An Advanced credential, such as an MBA, CPA, CMA, is preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years performing similar tasks and responsibilities is a must.
- A minimum of 3 years in Sales or Product Marketing.
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to develop and achieve financial goals and objectives.
- Working knowledge of the Diabetes, HCP Marketing and Healthcare markets including Retail Pharmacy.
- Ability to effectively interface with sales teams, external and internal customers.
- Ability to anticipate market changes, input on product strategy and to develop and implement marketing programs that can drive business objectives.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, administrative and communication skills and a proven ability to meet project deadlines is a given.
