Position Title:
IT Technician

Department:

IT Services

Primary Purpose

Fleming College, Toronto Programs is a public college-private partnership between Fleming College and Trebas Institute, with academic delivery and student support services managed by Trebas Institute.

The Junior IT Technician will provide maintenance, repair, and tech support on a variety of equipment at our FCT campus.

The service level will be mostly for the staff and faculty but will include on site assistance to students as well.

Primary Purpose

Installing and configuring hardware and software components
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Repairing or replacing damaged hardware
Upgrading systems to enable software compatibility
Performing tests and evaluations on software and hardware
Offering information and support to users
Maintaining relationships with different employees and departments
Helping with the onboarding process for new starters

Position Requirements

Academic background in Computer Science/IT (technical diploma/postsecondary education)
Understanding of Computer Systems & Networks
Strong Problem solver with excellent troubleshooting skills
Superior customer service and communication skills
Be available to work on a flexible schedule (evenings and weekends are a possibility)
1+ year(s) of experience servicing computer equipment/servicing users with technical issues
OEM certifications
Experience with Office 365 and VOIP phone experience
Familiar with Helpdesk Ticketing System
