Your Role:


As the National Manager, Sales and Strategic Account Operations, you will achieve sales and business goals through managing the performance of the sales force and customer accounts.

You will select, build, lead, manage and reward the sales team and manage the business relationship with key strategic fertility networks nationally.


Responsible for:


  • Promote and lead EMD Inc. High-Impact sales culture
  • Manage performance of Key Account Managers (KAMs) and support personnel: set objectives, build incentive plans, monitor activities, review outputs. This includes personally observing the performance of KAMs in the field on a regular basis.
  • Participate in creation of strategic direction and brand planning and ensure the effective implementation of Sales and Marketing strategy
  • Develop KAM business plan template and manage KAM business planning activities to align with strategic direction and resource allocation in order to maximize ROI on a short and long term basis
  • Develop and implement cycle team meetings in partnership with the marketing team
  • Select, promote, retain and plan the succession of KAMs
  • Provide strong leadership to motivate and inspire the team
  • Provide high standards of ongoing training for KAMs so that they possess sufficient medical and technical knowledge to present information on the company's products in an accurate and balanced manner
  • Identify training needs and development areas and create appropriate individualized plans
  • Support the KAMs infield development to agreed upon activity targets
  • National Fertility Networks Duties:
  • Lead and shape, in cooperation with the BU Head, the EMD relationship with various stakeholders within the emerging Canadian/International corporate fertility networks, including Csuite personnel
  • Align with North America and Global colleagues to ensure an aligned global plan and objectives
  • Lead and optimize direct account contracts and agreements

Who You Are:


Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelors in Life Science
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Sales leadership in a key account environment
  • Fluent in English and French; both written and spoken is required

Preferred Qualifications:


  • M. Sc., Pharm.
D. or MBA preferred

  • Experience in the fertility specialty sector
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent analytic, organization and communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Strong negotiating skills
