In addition to our core work with clients, Reconnect is also involved in several exciting systems-level projects supporting data and digital initiatives in the health care sector across the region and the province.

The Project Managers who fill these roles will have the opportunity to work with stakeholders from across all levels of the healthcare system and advance projects with the potential to make substantially positive changes to the way healthcare planning is conducted in Ontario.


Successful applicants to this role will be knowledgeable in project management tenants and norms, have experience working within the healthcare sector, will be organized and detail oriented, will have excellent time management skills and will be able to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.

Good communication is key, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Provides support to the leadership team and participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation responsibilities related to projects;
  • Develops and maintains relationships with partners and diverse stakeholders in relevant projects;
  • Delivers all services in a professional manner and according to established guidelines and associated benchmarks;
  • Supports the leadership team in conducting stakeholder meetings and forums in order to solicit feedback, input, and expectations, and incorporates recommendations into project plans;
  • Plans all project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate methodologies and techniques;
  • Develops mechanisms for tracking project progress and reporting to stakeholders;
  • Provides regular updates to the leadership and other stakeholders as required through project reports, presentations and other mediums;
  • Responds to issues identified by stakeholders;
  • Anticipates potential barriers to success and mitigates risk including the creation of contingency plans;
  • Works collaboratively with other internal and external project teams;
  • Other duties as required.
  • 23 years of experience in a project management role within a health services environment
  • Post-Secondary Education in health care, social services, an information technology related field or equivalent experience.

Key skills and abilities we are looking for:

  • Self-directed and independent, but also experienced in working effectively as a member of team, which includes internal and external stakeholders;
  • Above average written ability; ability to analyze written reports, complex documents and publications
  • Strong experience in developing and managing multidisciplinary and multiorganizational projects;
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks and keep stakeholders effectively involved in the process;
  • Excellent time management and work prioritization skills with an ability to effectively manage multiple high impact priorities;
  • Able to interpret data and use it to develop effective and appropriate health care programs;
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills;
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building experience, including a proven ability to build and develop effective relationships with health service providers and community partners;
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills;
  • Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings as required
