Primary functions
- Accountable for the definition, maintenance, and enhancement the processes by which our (300+ strong) marketing team operates, including process & RACI definition, documentation, communication, and training
- Leverages strong relationships and technical expertise to understand existing inefficiencies or process gaps, uses problem solving skills to designs a solution to overcome the gap, then uses influencing skills to ensure there's full alignment on the proposal across all stakeholders
- Accountable to develop and implement change management and communication activities for marketing processes. Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure all processes, procedures and enhancements are communicated and clearly understood.
- Ownership over branchwide marketing process training (for existing team) and onboarding (for new starters) to provide details and guidance on best practice processes to be followed
- Project manage marketing process related projects that require input and representation from multiple subteams across marketing, ensuring that all requirements are captured and that the solution has buyin across any areas that will be impacted (e.g. improving campaign delivery speed, building marketing asset templates, improve QA governance).
- Leads regular marketing prioritization forums to ensure planned marketing activities are aligned to business priorities and customer needs
- Engage with the wider marketing execution team for feedback as part of a continuous improvement system as it relates to process and relating training & guidance. Specifically capturing and documenting feedback then implementing diligently however necessary.
- Keep abreast of marketing industry standards while ensuring that Air Canada's processes are at the leading edge of these standards and emerging trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Business or Marketing preferred
- Knowledge of Marketing Resource Management platforms (e.g. Brandmaker, Aprimo, Adobe Workfront, Unica plan, IMO (IBM Marketing Operations), extremely desirable
- Experience playing lead role on projects that involve detailed requirement gathering and socialization across multiple teams
- Experience working within airline, travel or retail
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a forwardthinking mindset
- Expert communicator with strong presentation skills able to translate complex processes into clear and concise messages easily
- Passionate about learning as well as developing and helping others
