Description
Thornhill Child Care Society is looking to hire Education Assistants for early childhood classrooms in their 7 daycare locations. (Centers located in the North, NW, SE, SW)

These individuals will be contracted from September 2023 to June 2023. Hours will be 3 hours daily Monday through Friday.


General responsibilities:

  • To work one to one with children with various developmental delays, diagnoses and or disorders
  • Provide direct implementation of strategies from the child's IPP
  • Provide support to all classroom educators
  • Develop and assist in the creation of all support materials required
  • Consult and collaborate with PUF team
  • Attend IPP meetings as requested
  • Write daily session notes

Qualifications:

  • Completing or completed diploma or degree in a related field or similar combined education and experience
  • Experience working with children with special needs is an asset
  • Clear police information check, clean vulnerable sector search and valid first aid with child and infant CPR

From $24.00 per hour
