CONTENT MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR

CONTRIBUTING TO THE CMPA


Medico-Legal Services' (MLS) core function is to provide members with general medico-legal advice, and assistance in responding to College and hospital matters and legal actions arising from their medical professional work.

The department is also responsible for coordinating the council committees related to case management:
Case Review Committee, Case Review Committee - Quality Assurance, and Extent of Assistance Committee.


POSITION OVERVIEW


The primary function of the Content Management Coordinator is to maintain the Medico-Legal Services portal and knowledge base with a focus on functionality, accuracy, and ease of access.

The Medico-Legal Services Content Management Coordinator works with the Membership Services Content Management Coordinator and departmental employees to research, review and record internal and external trends and issues that could impact Member Experience information content.


POSITION ACTIVITIES

  • Maintains Medico-Legal Services portal and knowledge base to ensure that it is both up to date and consistent across all platforms and channels.
  • Ensures knowledge base is highly functional, relevant, efficient and effective for end users.
  • Collaborates with other team members to identify and implement opportunities or address any issues with current documentation for continuous improvement.
  • Initiates, coordinates, and monitors a variety of activities involved in the preparation and editing of departmental information.
  • Develops and maintains central repositories of Medico-Legal Services content in support of the knowledge base activity.
  • Attend and contribute to corporate working group meetings dealing with Knowledge Management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma or certificate program (23 years) in Knowledge Base Management, Communications or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in knowledge base management or formal business communications
  • Overall minimum of 4 years of relevant service experience in a professional office environment
  • CMPA Medico-Legal case file management experience is an asset.
  • Experience using SugarCRM, Documentum, or Confluence is an asset.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bilingualism (English/French written and verbal) is an asset.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of sound content and knowledge management principles
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is an asset.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Ability to produce high quality written documents, with meticulous attention to quality, detail and accuracy.

POSTING DETAILS

  • Job type: Regular Fulltime
  • Salary range: $68,000 to $91,000 classified as a level
  • Location: Hybrid
  • Primary Remote Job. You can work from a homebased office the majority of time, with regular onsite presence at the CMPA office (up to 12 days per week). If you prefer to work in an office setting as your primary workspace, you can choose to work out of the CMPA's office located in Ottawa, Ontario near the beautiful Dow's Lake.
