Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Programs and Services, the Client Advocate/Peer Liaison is responsible for developing and delivering high quality peer and alumni services.
The incumbent is a part of a collaborative treatment team that provides group facilitation and supportive discussions to individuals accessing service.
WORKING SCHEDULE:
TYPICAL WORKING SCHEDULE IS SUNDAY-SATURDAY (5-DAY WORK WEEK - ASSIGNMENT BASED ON
PROGRAM/ORGANIZATIONAL NEED).

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with clinical and treatment team
- Develop and deliver peer group and individual session and discussions related to step studies, relapse prevention and transitional preparation
- Provide feedback to the Manager on ways to improve program schedule that meet clients' needs
- Be in constant communication with colleagues/treatment team on client progress, setbacks and identified needs during working hours
- Listen and provide feedback to clients' and meet the client where they are at
- Advocate and promote clientcentred care in all affairs
- Attend staff meetings and actively participate throughout
- Debrief with treatment team to be adequately prepared to provide support in the livein program
- Complete administrative duties directly related to providing high quality care to the clients' we serve
- Plan, Develop, Initiate and Facilitate continuing care programs, sessions and events
- Execute timely and accurate documentation that adheres to the organizations' policies and procedures related to your role
- Prepare in the research and contribution of program refinement that support Quality Improvement Plan
- Provide colleagues with relevant information to assist in the delivery of services in a congregate setting
- Participate in treatment team and organizational meetings for the purpose of delivering high quality addiction treatment and contributing to the advancement and refinement of processes, programming and operations
- Participate in organizational initiatives that support primary purpose, quality implement and strategic activities
- Participate in ongoing learning to advance skills, knowledge and competency
- Provide feedback during the process of accreditation and contribute to policy analysis and development when required
- Correspond and consult with entire treatment team and contribute to effective internal communications that promote effective treatment services
- Ensure Manager, Programs and Services is informed and updated on critical issues, incidents and/or complaints in a timely manner.
- Complete data/entry on direct service volumes/client service interactions in a timely and accurate manner
- In accordance with our accountability agreement, ensure that all data entry and documentation is captured in an accurate and timely manner.
- Adhere to privacy policy and be in compliance with PHIPPA legislation
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- A team player with a commitment to collaboration
- Living Experience with Addiction and Mental Health
- Must have a
_minimum _ of three (3) years
_continuous_ 'abstinencebased' recovery from addictions; excellent knowledge of the 'fellowship approved' literature and service structure of both Alcoholics - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

_minimum _ providing peer services to adults who have addictions. - Experience in group facilitation techniques as they relate to selfhelp/mutual aid
- Experience with supportive conversation and traumainformed care
Salary:
$26.70 per hour
