**Purpose**:
The purpose of this position is to assist SDTC in its ongoing financial reporting, process updating, to support SDTC's project compliance reviews, overall ensuring adherence to SDTC's funded project terms and conditions.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Provide ad-hoc support to the finance team for various projects, and initiatives.
- Assist in the review and update SDTC's current internal controls and processes to ensure overall adherence to processes and identify inefficiencies.
- Execute project finance tasks requiring analytical accuracy, completeness, and capacity to extract relevant data from large datasets.
- Document project work performed in a clear and concise manner.
- Help SDTC build internal databases and dashboards using internal and external data.
- Prepare presentations summarizing key research findings to different audiences.
- Support the formulation and preparation of templates and information for applicants.

**Experience and Education Requirements**:
Education: Currently enrolled in a business administration, management, economics, finance, or accounting degree.

Experience: Financial accounting and auditing knowledge is an asset.

**Technical Skills**:

- Superior knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).
- Advanced understanding of basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of the clean and renewable tech industry.

**Non-Technical Skills**:

- Analytical mind with a critical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capacity to retrieve large amounts of data from diverse sources.
- Ability to work with little supervision and with others to complete projects.
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to a very fluid, rapidly changing environment.
- Proactive, positive workplace attitude and willingness to create an impact in each given task.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

**Assets**:

- Knowledge of French.
- Interest in innovation.
- Power BI experience.
- Working towards obtaining the CPA designation is considered an asset.*****

**But**:
Le but de ce poste est d'aider TDDC dans son examen et son évaluation financiers continus des entreprises financées ainsi que de soutenir le groupe du suivi de la performance de TDDC dans l'examen des projets, en veillant globalement au respect des conditions des projets financés par TDDC.

**Principales responsabilités et obligations**:

- Fournir un soutien ponctuel à l'équipe financière de projet pour divers projets et initiatives.
- Exécuter des tâches de financement de projet nécessitant une précision analytique, une exhaustivité et une capacité à extraire des données pertinentes de grands ensembles de données.
