Forklift Operator (FULL TIME)

Reporting to - Warehouse Supervisor

We are currently seeking an experienced, safety-minded Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team Please note that applicants must have a current stand up reach and counterbalance operator's license.


The Forklift Operator will assist the Lead Hand in organizing and monitoring the receiving, picking/checking/shipping, storage, and distribution of all items received either from suppliers, vendors, and/or the Manufacturing Department.

The incumbent will ensure a smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are located and distributed in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

Schedule is Mon-Fri morning shifts (7:00-4:00 PM or 8:00-5:00 PM)

Duties Include:

  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of warehouse operations including Picking, Checking, Packing, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory systems.
  • Oversee and participate in loading and unloading of shipments and communicate respective information to all internal departments/employees as required.
  • Knowledge and focus on Health and Safety rules.
  • RF Scanning

Qualifications:

  • 12 Years experience as a forklift operator
  • Must have experience with counterbalance & order picker machine
  • Solid communications skills
  • Punctual
  • Willing to learn and ambitious

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
From $21.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Forklift: 1 year (preferred)
