We are looking for an individual who has a passion for working in a collaborative team setting

and working closely with the Kentville Police Service Management Team.


About the job:


  • The Office Manager performs duties as the private and confidential secretary to the Chief
of Police and Deputy Chief as well as acting as Receptionist for the Police Service.

  • The Office Manager shall become acquainted with the policies of the Town of Kentville as
they relate to the administrative staff.

  • Responsible for Criminal Record Checks & Civilian Fingerprints.
  • Maintaining administrative and operational records systems (hard copy files, PROS, ACIIS,
CPIC, PIP, JEIN, CJIM, LIVE SCAN) and the confidentiality of same.

  • Assisting with preparing files for court and doing eDisclosure, also recording Court
Disclosure on CJIM (Criminal Justice Information Management) when needed.

  • FOIPOP administrator
- receive and process all FOIPOP complaints.

  • AXON processing and vetting body camera footage as requested for Court packages.
  • Compiling and maintaining accounts receivable and payable.
  • Coordinate accommodations and expenses for training courses.
  • Prepare weekly payroll sheets for Finance.
  • Coordinate building repairs/maintenance.
  • Social Media for KPS.

ASSETS:


  • No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted and no adult criminal
record.

  • Experience dealing with FOIPOP.
  • Experience with the following systems
  • PROS (Police Record Operating System)
  • CPIC (Canadian Police Information Center)
  • JEIN (Justice Enterprise Information Network)
  • PIP (Police Information Portal)
  • ACIIS (Automated Criminal Intelligence Information System)

HOURS OF WORK:
Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.


SALARY RANGE:
$51,105-$56,344
