Description

The Control Room Technician Lead Hand provides maximum oversight of maintenance, testing and recording of all electrical devices under the direction of Engineering Supervisor and Manager.

Coordinates building automation, shift mechanic and associated helpers and all work done by front end mechanics and technicians.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

As senior control room technician lead hand, responsible for assisting Supervisor in the organizing and coordinating all work performed by hospital automation techs, shift mechanics and helpers.
Performs work on all building automation systems, pneumatic tube system, day to day HVAC operations, evening and weekend client service needs and interaction with BAS system provider.
Coordinating maintenance of all major BAS, HVAC and tube system service providers.
Responsible in assisting for all material purchases for the building maintenance aspect of the shift and automation systems under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Routinely inspects BAS operations, HVAC conditions, tube system, etc.
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Certification and/ or experience with all front end disciplines
Extensive knowledge regarding Honeywell Enterprise building automation systems, institutional HVAC systems, Hospital isolation rooms and tube conveyance systems.
Minimum 8 years¿ experience in an Institutional setting. Extra consideration will be given to those with a Hospital background
Proven front end lead hand/leadership experience would be considered an asset
Working knowledge of legislated safety requirements, codes, standards, and regulations
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
Excellent problem recognition and problemsolving skills
Ability to work independently
Excellent attendance record
