About the Position

Full time Utility - this is an entry level position in a large flour milling plant in Port Colborne, Ontario.

In order to meet the requirements of this job posting, the applicant will be cross-trained in all operational positions to facilitate operational needs.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Duties include but are not limited to, material handling and light maintenance
  • Adhering to Safety Rules, GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety protocols is crucial
  • This position also includes general sanitation duties following established GMP's for our food safety programs

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be able to work from heights, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and bend
  • May be required to lift 55 lbs. / 22 kg
  • Must be able to work in a variety of hot, cold, or wet conditions
  • Shift work, overtime, and weekends will be required
  • The successful applicant will be competent when working with machinery, including the ability to safely troubleshoot operational issues
  • Basic computer skills, numeracy and record accuracy are also necessary to succeed at this role.
  • There is room for further advancement in this role

Education or Work Experience

  • High school education or equivalent is preferred

Additional Information
