Position Title:
Group Claims Assistant


Reports To:
Manager, Group Dental Claims and Group Claims Support


Department:
Group Claims and Admin Management


Term:
Permanent Full-Time


Work Arrangements:

We are currently working remotely, and we will be moving to a hybrid model when our office renovation is complete (approximately November 2023), coming into the office a minimum of 2 days per week, every other week on designated days.

What you will be doing:


  • Open, sort, and distribute mail
  • Index incoming documentation accurately and within established turn around times
  • Photocopying and other administrative tasks
  • Maintain spreadsheets for tracking mail volumes, settlements each month, and other reporting purposes
  • Basic member level updates
  • Maintain case list allocations and complete updates as required
  • Other duties as required
  • Match denied claims with the system generated EOB to return to insured employees
  • Prepare claims packages for Ombudsman as required
  • In conjunction with claims team, prepare necessary documents to send for audit
  • Returned mail process (Look up addresses or call employers for missing addresses for claims that have been returned to sender by Canada Post, and update the address on BMS)
  • Other duties as required
