We have growing markets across the country and are looking for individuals to take ownership of client engagements and relationships, using business acumen and a consulting mindset, to provide assistance in the areas of remote work, business travelers, global payroll, and managed services.


Job Description:


You will be required to:
- handle numerous assignments at the same time;
- have good organizational skills;
- have a positive attitude;
- work effectively under pressure; and
- have flexibility to work overtime.


Qualifications:


  • US CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred
  • US Preparer's Tax Identification Number (PTIN) requirement is mandatory
  • Strong tax technical knowledge of Canadian and US individual crossborder tax issues, resulting from a minimum of 5 years of tax experience in a professional services firm with previous review experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and automated tax processing systems (TaxPrep, CCH Axcess)


You will be responsible for reviewing and/or signing Canadian and US individual tax returns and working closely with clients to offer practical approaches to challenges that face companies and individuals.

Additional Information

The compliance team services all Canadian time zones, therefore extended business hours and overtime is required during peak periods.

Please note this is a 3-6 month full-time contract opportunity (with the possibility of extension) and that we are recruiting in the following locations in Canada:
