We're looking for a Controller to lead the accounting and finance team using modern tools and inspirational leadership to position the company for further growth in the coming years.

We are seeking a hardworking down-to-earth professional who is interested in working in a fast-growing private business with significant community impact.

Qualifications:

CPA designation with five years of postqualification experience
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders including lawyers, accountants and banking professionals
Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace
Experience managing and leading a team
Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality as required
Knowledge of modern digital tools an asset, including those for reconciliation, AP automation, ERP systems and business intelligence
Experience working in a modern (paperless) digital environment an asset
Advanced understanding of spreadsheets an asset
Understanding of modern commercial banking and operational finance an asset
Understanding of group insurance industry and related landscape an asset
