OVERVIEW:

The Project Scheduler reports to the Project Controls Manager and is responsible for developing and managing a project schedule. The process includes defining project tasks, estimating the resources needed, and creating a timeline. The process continues through the project life cycle.

As a member of the RS management team, this position will support an organizational culture that cares for other's well-being through best practices in health and safety, in addition to the company's values of respect, integrity, quality, teamwork and professional growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Consulting with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks;
Develops and maintains a schedule for multiple construction projects;
Assist project managers with job planning;
Track project progress;
Identify potential delays;
Coordinate tasks, and monitor the timelines of scheduled assignments;
Identify and report schedule variances on a regular basis;
Work with stakeholders to ensure that projects remain within the scope;
Keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and deadlines;
Facilitate remedial action, accommodate updates and changes to the schedule.

TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS:

Over 10 years working in a planner/ scheduler capacity on industrial or commercial construction projects;
Experienced and advanced user of Primavera P6 and MS Project;
Proficient in progress measurement for engineering consultants, suppliers and construction trades;
Knowledge of EV methodology is a must;
Good timemanagement, organization and communication skills.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Able to work independently on a multiple tasks.
Readily available for a monthly trips within USA and Canada to assist company's construction projects in different locations.
