About the Position:


Reporting to the Partner, HR Operations, the HR Operations & Total Rewards Specialist will play an integral role within our People & Culture team by providing Total Rewards, WFP, budgeting, HRIS, and HR analytics support.

A large focus of this role will be supporting with the development, implementation, administration, and communication of Total Rewards programs for all Hazelview entities.

In addition, this role will actively support with all HR reporting and analytics needs, managing and updating our HRIS, and supporting with WFP and budgeting activities.

Key Responsibilities:


Total Rewards:


  • Supports the evolution of our Total Rewards programs by playing a key role in the research, design, administration and reporting of new and existing total rewards programs and initiatives.
  • Works closely with the Partner, HR Operations to build out the Total Rewards strategy and 1218 roadmaps along with the change and communication plans to support program and practice changes.
  • Acts as internal consultant to the HR team and business. Provides guidance and advice on all things Total Rewards, including compensation recommendation to support recruitment and internal changes, while ensuring policies and practices are applied consistently. Provides analysis and recommendations on topics such as pay trends, linkage of merit results to performance, incentive plan design, etc.
  • Supports the communication and implementation of total reward program decisions with a focus on improving overall undertaking and reinforcing credibility.
  • Supports the annual yearend compensation cycles by maintaining compensation workbooks, identifying changes to enhance administrative processes, supporting leaders with any questions, and making recommendations on policies and processes.
  • Participates in thirdparty surveys and completes benchmarking to assure competitive practices. Analyses survey data for all position levels, provides recommendations, identifies areas of risk or concern, and prepares salary survey data.
  • Develops, monitors, updates, and communicates project schedules to track tasks, deadlines, and milestones.

Reporting and Analytics:


  • Support the gathering, design, and development of various HR reports, KPls and clash boards.
  • Support in the preparation of presentations and reports for various business stakeholders, including senior management providing detailed analysis including telling the story.
  • Perform special projects and analyses around internal measurements and metrics to monitor HR programs (e.g., employee demographics, turnover trends, data collection and analysis, internal and external benchmarks)
  • Effectively communicate key issues and trends and recommend appropriate courses of action based on the results of completed analyses.

HRIS:


  • Work closely with the HR team to identify and propose solutions for system improvements and process efficiencies.

Other:


  • Support with the monthly and quarterly workforce planning process along with the budget and reforecasting process.
  • Support broader HR projects and initiatives as required.

Job requirements:
Education & Experience


  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 13 years of handson HR experience with at least 1 year of experience supporting total rewards programs.
  • Previous experience with pay equity plans or job evaluation is considered an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and legislation across Canada
  • Experience with HR data analytics and reporting
  • Experiencing managing an HRIS,
