Major Accountability:

Recurring reporting and analysis of sales, orders, delivery, inventory and expenses
Monthend closing cycle journal entries and reconciliations
Detailed budget and forecast planning and analysis
Recurring tax analysis and reporting
Recurring and ad hoc financial analysis vs. budget/forecast and prior year

Essential Job Functions:

Create and maintain Oracle, HFM and Discoverer reports to support driverbased financial analysis and properly support reconciliation of account activity and balances.
Prepare daily sales/inventory/OTIF reports for product comparison with plan reports, and distribute reports to departments.
Analyze purchases and prepare/report sales & use tax return information. Assist with audit preparation and defense as required. Coordinate property tax accruals and payment preparation process.
Assist with monthly closing cycle through maintenance of closing checklist; the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations; preparation and reconciliation of actual/plan/reset loads into HFM from Oracle. Recurring tax analysis and reporting
Maintain templates and coordinate annual budgets and forecasts for department expenses working closely with department managers and Controller.
Review and analyze department expenses monthly vs. budget/reset and prior year and proactively summarize and report key variances to Operations VP and Controller. Other ad hoc reporting as needed and with some supervision.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or economics
Demonstrate propensity for data analysis with strong attention to detail accuracy
Familiar with Microsoft Office programs. Must be proficient in Excel including pivot tables and complex formulas
Strong communication skills
Ability to read and understand contracts
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to perform under restrictive deadlines
