TWI Foods Inc., an established manufacturing company is seeking an experienced, motivated, and energetic individual to join our Production Team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


  • Scale all ingredients according to recipes.
  • Fill mixers with premeasured ingredients in correct sequence.
  • Operate flour silo to add correct quantities to correct bowl.
  • Operate water meter, monitoring amount and temperature.
  • Add ingredients to ensure the quality expectations are being met, considering the variables such as ingredients, temperature, etc
  • Operate the mixers by setting up the required mixing time /RPM speed.
  • To take after mixing temperature of dough/batter to minimize the variation.
  • To perform a visual inspection and to examine the batch for any variance.
  • Keep the area clean and put away utensils in the proper location after use.
  • Comply with all applicable legislative and TWI foods food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • 23 years experience as a mixer, preferably in bakery environment.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced production environment.
  • Ability to lift 25kg and roll on the heavy mixing bowls.
  • Ability and skill to quickly acquire knowledge of our mixing process and products.
  • Strong communication and math skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules; mornings (7am 3pm), afternoons (3pm 11pm) and Nights (11pm 7am).
  • Must legally be able to work in Canada.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:


  • Be punctual, reliable, and able to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Follows direction well.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for entire shift.
  • Multitasking & attention to details.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and good communication.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$17.00-$19.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:


  • Baking: 2 years (preferred)
  • Mixing: 1 year (preferred)
