  • We are looking for an Instructor to teach Intermediate through Provincial level articulated Adult Upgrading (ABE) courses off campus at the
  • Lil'wat Nation's Adult Learning Centre the Ts'zil Learning Centre in Mount Currie. Ts'zil Learning centre is an Indigenous Learning Centre, open to all Indigenous people, this position's duties are focused on supporting Indigenous students and as such, applicants who selfidentify as Indigenous or have Indigenous ancestry may be given preference in the recruitment process.

    What you'll do
  • Experience teaching in community settings
  • Experience teaching Indigenous students; will be well versed in Indigenous and decolonized approaches to teaching, with a traumainformed practice lens.
  • Proven ability to work in collaboration with Indigenous partners.
  • A demonstrated ability to work with students having diverse needs
  • The ability to create a community of confidence and openness in the classroom.
  • The competencies to teach Intermediate to the Provincial Level ABE mathematics courses.

What you'll bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's of Education, mathematics education, or a related field. Master's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience working/teaching in Adult Upgrading with a Community Development and a strengthbased approach preferred.
  • Experience working with Indigenous students and community partners.
  • Ability and desire to contribute to a creative and innovative team environment.
