Remanufacturing Maintenance Supervisor - Acheson, Canada - North American Construction Group Inc.

Position Scope:
Reporting to the Brake North American (BNA) Remanufacturing Manager, you will ensure the proper deployment of job resources including ordering parts, assigning personnel work duties, and executing a Planning Schedule.
Shift: 7x7
Responsibilities:
- Setup and present a morning PSI Meeting.
- Do a morning check in with all employees and assess fit to work.
- Assign work to each employee.
- Check and approve Time Cards for hours worked, work performed, proper Time Card Coding.
- Fill out Requisitions and order parts for jobs and shop consumables.
- Prepare and present Weekly Safety Meeting.
- Review Daily/Weekly work plans and ensure appropriate actions are taken to address KPI performance issues.
- Secure and ensure proper deployment of job resources including ordering parts, requesting personnel, tools and consumables.
- Lead team by example, demonstrating the proper procedures and processes to follow
- Continue to develop knowledge in assigned product area in order to assist team members
- Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies and procedures
:
- Work as a liaison as needed between the assigned area and other area.
- Ensure all new hires/transfers receive required orientations. Attend and participate in site specific orientations.
- Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections and complete followup activities.
- Ensure adequate and suitable safety equipment, including PPE, is supplied, readily accessible, properly used and maintained.
- Review safe work plans / hazard assessment with crew prior to job commencement.
- Conduct incident investigations and prepare associated support documentation immediately.
- Ensure the effective use of the work order system.
- Participate in the hiring process for new personnel and the discipline of current personnel as required.
- Coordinate with the BNA Manager to ensure proper training of personnel
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years heavy equipment experience in heavy construction or mining environment;
- Component rebuild experience would be considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in supervisory role.
- Strong proven safety background.
- Journeyman Mechanic Certificate with Red Seal Certification
- Postsecondary education or equivalent experience of 5 years relating to shop/field maintenance supervision.
- General knowledge of Caterpillar equipment, SIS and ET would be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
Summary:

- Have a valid Class 5 Driver's License
