Position Description

The Complex Care and Recovery Program is seeking a part-time, temporary (9 months) Security Guard 1 to work on the Forensic Assessment Unit (Unit 3-5).

Reporting to the unit manager, you will provide surveillance and assistance for patients, visitors and staff.

You will be primarily responsible for monitoring and controlling movement of patients, staff and visitors through the perimeter of the Unit.

You will be responsible for providing both interior and perimeter security measures for the inpatient unit by means of surveillance and documentation as well as being responsible for key control.

You will conduct person searches and unit searches as required for security screening or incident investigation. In addition, you will occasionally perform security checks of the unit perimeter and safety/security equipment on the unit. Rotating day, evening and night shifts are required.

This position is located at 1001 Queen Street West.


Qualifications

Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Please Note:
This part-time, temporary (9 months) position is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.


Salary Range:
$ $27.33 per hour
