**Dual Rate Security Supervisor

Security Officer Role

Position Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Security, this position is responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, the facility (both internal and external) and the company
- s assets while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company
- s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian
- s learning environment while establishing a s afe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

**Key Accountabilities

  • Monitors, documents and prepares statements and/or reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons or a ctivities
  • Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons
  • Observes transactions, pulls, fills, transfers, etc.
  • Escorts cash/cash equivalents
  • Tags and reports found property; transfers items to Lost and Found
  • Cond ucts regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed
  • Escorts guests and team members as directed
  • Performs identification checks
  • Refers disputes to the Supervisor, Security
  • Performs crowd control as dire cted
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulat ions Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Guard Force Training an asse t
  • Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate an asset
  • Must be willing to recertify every 3 years for Use of Force Certification Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License

Work Environment Considerations
Regular casino/Racing environment, standing and walking for long periods of time, some elements of danger, some exposure to the elements, some exposure to noise, some exposure to verbal or physical abuse, non-traditional work hours


Dual Rate Security Supervisor Role

Position Summary:


You will supervise a team of Security Officers in a shift work environment, fostering a safe and efficient work environment, while maintaining an open-door policy.


Key Accountabilities:


  • You will be accountable for your staff, assisting with hiring, training, evaluations, recognition and development.
  • You will be responsible for the protection of company assets and the reporting and arrest of criminals, ensuring the maintenance of peace and order for guests and fellow employees.
  • You will provide first aid and medical attention as required.
  • Your strong presence on the gaming floor will be vital to your management of people and interacting with customers, while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and other applicable laws, policies and regulations.

Required Education and Experience:


  • A minimum of a postsecondary diploma in Law and Security
  • A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field
  • Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • A current First Aid/CPR Certificate, along with Non-Violent Intervention Technique Certificate
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
