PRIMARY FUNCTION


As a member of the Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Coordinator provides support and coordination of work related to the project management, communications, engagement and change management of projects and initiatives supporting corporate strategy and annual corporate plans.

The Project Coordinator will be required to take initiative and collaborate closely with other members of the project team, project sponsors, physicians, PMO Team, leaders from IT departments and clinical business units, and stakeholder group.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES INCLUDE:


  • Under the guidance of a Project Manager, support the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing of projects and initiatives led by the PMO.
  • Support assigned activities of the Physician Quality Committee, which includes, but not limited to:
  • Providing oversight and organization of the CPSO QI Partnership program implementation at KHSC
  • Providing coordination for Utilization Committee portfolio
  • Coordinate project related meetings and events.
  • Coordinate and manage project stakeholders.
  • Drafting and coordinating project related communications.
  • Other project and department related tasks and activities as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Completion of University degree or equivalent.
  • Completion of PMP would be an asset.
  • 13 years of practical or position related experience.
  • 13 years of considerable position related experience preferred.
  • Critical thinking and problemsolving skills: Applied in all aspects of project development and management with a focus on risk and issue management.
  • Communication, consultation, negotiation, and mediation skills: Under the guidance of a Project Manager, determine client requirements, participate in presentations, prepare proposals, develop and sustain effective working relationships.
  • Persuasion, advisory, and relationship management skills: Under the guidance of a Project Manager, support the resolution of issues with stakeholders, including client groups, business partners, internal committees and stakeholder groups, to address risks and benefits of specific solutions and recommend specific courses of action.
  • Project & Portfolio Management Tools and applicable software (i.e.
, Microsoft Project):
Use of software tools to manage project tracking and reporting.

  • Proven ability to attend work regularly.
  • Satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search required.
