The Laboratory Assistant I will be working in the City of Camrose, which is in East-Central Alberta along Highway 13, 7.5 km east of the junction with Highway 21.

Highway 26 meets Camrose on the east and Highway 833 on the north. Camrose is 88.5 km Southeast of Edmonton.

Description:


As a Medical Laboratory Assistant I, you will provide high quality service to clients of the clinical laboratory in an effective, efficient and safe manner.

You will be responsible for a variety of laboratory functions including procurement, handling, processing, dispatching and testing of specimens, performing procedures and reporting results.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.


Additional Required Qualifications:


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the past two years: Work in Healthcare facility. Phlebotomy, Venipuncture, and micro.


Connect Care LIS, Maintenance on:
Clinitek Advantus, Centrifuges. Cleaning the fridges and freezers. Cleaning the Plasma Thawing device in TM.
