Assistant Principal Position (Contract position with potential of becoming permanent)
Responsibility and Duties
- Direct supervision of all the classroom and curriculums to ensure quality of caring and learning is being carried out
- Ensure compliance with British Columbia Child Care Licensing regulations
- Help ECE Teachers in many ways, by giving Teachers guidance and ideas with respect to the curriculum they are planning on presenting.
- Help Teachers resolve sensitive situations with families or other staff members, and can help Teachers design their classroom and help Teachers keep the focus on the CEFA method of teaching.
- Coordinates and oversees admissions to our school, including but not limited to, inquiries, tours and registration of all students and families.
- Recruitment, interviewing, hiring, orientation, supervision, ongoing training, evaluation and termination (if necessary) of all ECE staff
- Develop, implement and carry out the necessary arrangements for whole school events including Graduation, Winter Show and CEFA Family Fun Day.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent communication skill in both writing and speaking in English.
- Experience and knowledge working and managing in child care and Pre-K settings
- Good knowledge of BC childcare Licensing Regulations
- Have knowledge of the Microsoft office: Word, Outlook and Excel
- Willingness to participate in workshops and professional training.
- A valid ECE Licence with minimum of 2 years managing experience
- Infant / Toddler certification will be an asset
- Second language will be an asset

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
