    Project Location: Bagotville, Quebec

    Employment: This position is approximately a 3 year term with potential for extension and/ or permanent employment.

    Your New Role

    The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the estimating, project management, and site project execution functions on each assigned project. This includes managing subcontracts and interfacing with field staff and project stakeholders to plan and execute projects, and solve problems as they arise.

    Your Duties

    While the Project Coordinator is responsible for a multitude of duties, the main functions include:

    • Ensures compliance with all Sullivan policies and procedures.
    • Performs quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage contract progress and reporting.
    • Attends various project meetings as required including mark-up, kick-off, monthly cost review, and project progress.
    • Participates in the negotiation and issue of subtrade contracts, revisions, and purchase orders.
    • Assembles project documentation to facilitate or assist with permits, procurement, bonds, insurance, construction drawings, and commissioning.
    • Processes all deliverables including obtaining shop drawings, samples, and mock-ups for each assigned project and maintains control.
    • Understands project organizational structure.
    • Assists with change management and change order processes.
    • Identifies potential risks and supports the Project Manager with risk identification and opportunities on assigned construction projects.
    • Maintains and performs project document control and procedures.
    • Ensures positive working relationships and communications with the project owners, consultants, subtrades, and project team.
    • Prepares and tracks project claims and estimates.
    • Oversees inventory and tracking of ordered materials and equipment.
    • Participates in reviews of subcontractor's submittals for compliance with scope, design documentation, and coordination with other subtrades.
    • Ensures proper distribution of project change information and that project site personnel are provided with the most current information.
    • Supports the Superintendent with organization of Sullivan and/or subcontractor resources to ensure conformance with the project schedule.
    • Supports the Superintendent with administrative activities including, but not limited to daily field documentation, timekeeping, various coding, safety reporting, and environmental reporting.
    • Creates and maintains project logs including but not limited to ITP, RFI, SI, change control, purchase orders, shop drawings, etc.
    • Identifies and assists with resolving field staff technical issues.
    • Supports the development of maintenance and adherence to project schedules including the overall schedule and required "look ahead" schedules.
    • Assists with overall project closeout documentation including warranties, as-built drawings, operations, and maintenance manuals.
    • Perform other duties as required to support the overall success and profitability of Sullivan.

    Safety

    • Commits to a high standard of procedural safety and regulatory compliance
    • Communicates and enforces safety standards in conjunction with the Construction Health & Safety Officer

    Quality

    • Adheres to all processes and procedures in the Quality Management System (QMS)
    • Ensures the quality of product produced reflects the QMS and The Sullivan Way

    What you will need to succeed

    • 5+ years of experience in the ICI construction industry as a Project Coordinator or building-related work.
    • Post-Secondary education in construction management, engineering or architectural technology preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, Sharepoint, Teams)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or comparable project management certification is an asset.
    • Bilingual is an asset (French and English both in verbal, written in English)
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret level Government clearance

    Votre nouveau rôle

    Relevant du chef de projet senior, le coordonnateur de projet voit à soutenir les fonctions d'estimation, de gestion et d'exécution de projet au chantier pour chaque projet attribué. Cela comprend la gestion des contrats de sous-traitance, l'interface avec le personnel de terrain et les parties prenantes du projet dans le but de planifier et d'exécuter les projets, et résoudre les problèmes qui se présentent.

    Responsabilités et activités principales

    • Veiller au respect de toutes les politiques et procédures de Sullivan;
    • Participer à diverses réunions de projet, selon les besoins, y compris les réunions d'évaluation, de lancement, de révision mensuelle des coûts et d'avancement du projet;
    • Effectuer des décomptes quantitatifs et des sondages pour gérer l'avancement du contrat et les rapports;
    • Participer à la négociation, à l'émission et à la révision de contrats de sous-traitance et de bons de commande;
    • Rassembler la documentation du projet pour faciliter l'obtention des permis, l'approvisionnement, les cautions, les assurances, les dessins de construction et la mise en service;
    • Traiter tous les produits livrables, y compris l'obtention des dessins d'atelier, des échantillons et des maquettes pour chaque projet assigné et en assurer le contrôle;
    • Participer aux processus de gestion des changements et des ordres de modification;
    • Identifier les risques et aider le chef de projet senior à identifier les risques et les opportunités sur les différents projets de construction;
    • Assurer et maintenir le contrôle des documents et des procédures du projet;
    • Assurer des relations de travail et des communications positives avec les mandataires du projet, les consultants, les sous-traitants et l'équipe de projet;
    • Préparer et suivre les réclamations et les estimations relatives aux projets;
    • Participer à l'examen des soumissions des sous-traitants pour vérifier leur conformité avec la portée, la documentation de conception et la coordination avec les autres sous-traitants;
    • Veiller à la distribution des informations sur les changements apportés au projet et à ce que le personnel du chantier reçoive les informations les plus récentes;
    • Soutenir le surintendant dans l'organisation des ressources de Sullivan et/ou des sous-traitants pour assurer le respect du calendrier de projet;
    • Appuyer le surintendant dans ses activités administratives, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, la documentation quotidienne sur le terrain, la comptabilisation du temps, les divers codes, les rapports de sécurité et les rapports environnementaux;
    • Créer et tenir à jour les journaux du projet, y compris, mais sans s'y limiter, les RFI (demande d'information), SI (instruction de chantier), le contrôle des changements, les bons de commande, les dessins d'atelier, etc.;
    • Identifier et aider à résoudre les problèmes techniques du personnel de chantier;
    • Contribuer à l'élaboration, à la mise à jour et au respect des calendriers de projet, y compris le calendrier général et les calendriers prévisionnels;
    • Participer à la documentation de clôture du projet, y compris les garanties, les dessins conformes à l'exécution, les manuels d'exploitation et d'entretien;
    • Effectuer d'autres tâches qui peuvent être assignées selon les besoins.

    Santé et sécurité au travail / Qualité

    • Adhérer aux procédures de sécurité, de conformité réglementaire et au système de gestion de la qualité (SGQ);
    • Communiquer et faire respecter les standards de sécurité en collaboration avec le coordonnateur en SST sur le site;
    • S'assurer que la qualité des produits fabriqués reflète le SMQ et « The Sullivan Way ».

    Expériences et qualification

    • Cinq ans d'expérience à titre de coordonnateur de projet ou de travaux de construction, firme d'ingénierie ou architecture, avec expérience dans l'industrie de la construction industrielle et commerciale (ICI);
    • Diplôme d'études postsecondaires en gestion de la construction, ingénierie ou architecture;
    • Maîtrise des programmes Microsoft Office (ex. : Word, Excel), SharePoint, Teams, Adobe, Bluebeam, Plangrid (un atout);
    • Bilingue (français et anglais à l'oral), et à l'écrit (un atout);
    • Certification comme Professionnel en gestion de projet (PMP), Associé certifié en gestion de projet (CAPM), ou autre certification comparable (un atout);
    • Doit être en mesure d'obtenir et de conserver une certification gouvernementale de niveau « Secret ».
