Job Description:

Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement a variety of recreational programs tailored to the needs and interests of participants.
  • Facilitate leisure activities, including arts and crafts, sports, music therapy, and social outings.
  • Coordinate volunteer opportunities within the community to promote social integration and skill development.
  • Provide support and assistance to participants in developing culinary skills and promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Assist participants in developing and practicing selfhelp and life skills, including personal hygiene, communication, and decisionmaking.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create individualized care plans and monitor progress.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants during program activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports on participant progress and program outcomes.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in recreation therapy and neurological disorders.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Recreation and Leisure Services or related field.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with neurological disorders preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Clear criminal record check.

How to Apply:

Salary:
$18.50-$19.50 per year
