Position Summary

We are looking for a professional and safety-oriented Class 1 Owner Operator - Tanker, you will have the ability to work well with mínimal supervision and have a strong sense of urgency to complete tasks promptly and safely.

You must have a passion for driving safely and defensively on the roads, for yourself and for others.

You are not afraid of hard work and you are able to perform well in a fast paced and physically demanding environment.

Primary responsibility is to safely transport liquid or gaseous cargo, such as chemicals, petroleum, or hazardous materials, to specified destinations.

Duties include conducting pre-trip inspections of the tanker vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition, as well as loading and unloading cargo following established safety procedures.

What you will do

Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.
Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.

What You'll Bring

Valid Class 1/AZ License is required
Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events)
Truck should not be older than 10 years
Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
Comfortable with smartphone technology
Reliable, flexible, punctual and safe driving behaviors
1 years of verifiable tanker driving experience
Mininmum 1 year of Super B experience is required
Mountain driving experience is required
Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada
