Security Response Analyst II

BlackBerry's Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) is seeking a Security Response Analyst II to join our team in securing BlackBerry's product suites to protect our customers.


In this role you will:

  • Investigate reports of potential vulnerabilities in BlackBerry products
  • Assess the impact vulnerabilities on BlackBerry products
  • Work with product teams to resolve vulnerability reports
  • Develop ProofofConcept (PoC) code for testing
  • Investigate the effectiveness of BlackBerry products against malware threats
  • Create rules for CylanceOPTICS to protect customers from emerging threats

Relevant skills:

  • Software development with C/C++, C#, Java
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices
  • Knowledge of common classes of vulnerabilities (ie. SQLi, XSS, overflows, etc)
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux and/or Mac operating systems
  • Experience investigating vulnerability reports and/or reporting vulnerabilities
  • Malware analysis
  • Knowledge of Mitre ATT&CK techniques
  • Knowledge of technologies throughout the network stack (ie. TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS)

Education:


  • Bachelor of Science with 2+ years experience, or
  • Masters of Science, or 24 years of relevant experience
