Well, this is the marketing and events department for youAs an Events & Marketing Coordinator you'd be responsible for supporting our day-to-day and long-term marketing initiatives. The Event & Marketing Coordinator will be hands-on in the tactical aspects of event and marketing administration.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Offer support with planning and marketing requirements on internal and external events hosted by Tomlinson (i.e. Trade shows, customer events, employee appreciation events etc.)
- Administer event budget and ensure it is maximized (value to spend)
- Source venues, obtain quotes and conduct site visits
- Invite and liaise with customer guests, speakers, vendors and suppliers
- Coordinate the delivery of event marketing materials to guests, and management
- Provide administrative support to the Marketing and Events team
- Produce reports on events which include attendees and opportunities encountered.
- Manage tickets for corporate and customer events
- Follow the branding standards and coordinate the production of Tomlinson branded items for both customers and employees
- Ability to update website content and develop new landing pages when needed
- Perform database marketing practices by managing design collateral and photo database
- Coordinate campaigns with internal departments as well as external clients
- Participate in other marketing programs (both customer and employee facing) and projects as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- 13 years event coordination or related experience in events or similar industry.
- University degree or college diploma in event, marketing and/or entertainment management or equivalent 2 years of work experience.
- Strong attention to detail and quality with the ability to manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines for numerous clients
- Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate in a team environment, working with management, team members, and customers where applicable.
- Able to prioritize workload, meeting tight and changing deadlines while juggling priorities
- Experience in developing design content and marketing collateral in the Adobe Creative Suite environment InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is considered a strong asset.
- Ability and eagerness to learn new technologies, tasks, and procedures
- Demonstrated English written and verbal communication skills, including editing
- Proven ability to manage budgets is considered an asset
- French communication is a valued asset, but not mandatory
- G Class License (travel to various venues, site locations is required)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- A standard office environment, with occasional visits to active construction sites (loud, outside in all weather, uneven ground)
- Hours outside of work will be required, such as attending company and industry events on occasion
