Your role
Reporting to the Manager, French Services, Radio-Canada of Saguenay (web, radio, TV), you will work as a reporter based in Chicoutimi.
In this role, you will conduct research and interviews, write copy, process audio and video, and produce thorough, fact-checked, dynamic, compelling news content for delivery across various platforms (web, mobile, social media, radio, TV), in accordance with CBC/Radio-Canada's Journalistic Standards and Practices.
Schedule:
the schedule is primarily from Thursday to Monday, and may change depending on production needs.
We are looking for a curious, dynamic person, endowed with an ease for the presentation of live journalistic content and who is committed to working as a team to maintain a good working climate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent.
- Three (3) years' journalism experience or the equivalent.
Skills:
- Extensive general knowledge.
- Good knowledge of current events in the Saguenay Lac St-Jean.
- Solid command of the French language.
- Knowledge of English is an asset.
- Knowledge of communication techniques specific to the platforms (TV, radio, digital), as well as interviewing techniques
- Ability to work well in a team, while being independent, resourceful and selfstarting.
- Creative, enterprising and inquisitive approach to fact gathering.
- Good knowledge of how to produce digital reports and manage social media.
- Ability to work well under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada's Journalistic Standards and Practices.
- Valid driver's license.
- Theory test: Positionrelated knowledge.
- French tests.
- Interview.
