Role and Responsibilities:
- Work within the Data Ops team, managing the data infrastructure and resources at different cloud maturity levels
- Work on projects optimizing and modernizing the data system and infrastructure
- Manage the database system, work on performance tuning, backup management, capacity planning, automation, monitoring and alerting, building and managing replication, CDC, log shipping, and other DBA activities
- Design and mange the data security and user access to data throughout the database system
- Design and implement the HA/DR for the various data resources
- Perform migration of the data systems from IaaS (SQL Server) to a PaaS environment
- Work on administration of ETLs and reporting environments
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Report Analysts, assess their needs, manage analytical data sources and data pipelines to cater to their needs
- Work with business users, developers, and other stakeholders to determine and document the requirements of the enterprise data warehouse and data marts
- Work with the Data Engineers, assist in designing and developing data flow pipelines for transferring data between several data sources in an efficient manner
- Manage data flow in a largescale production environment with multiple workloads and with different requirements
- Enhance the automation of database systems and processes to reduce toil and improve performance
- Assist in developing and managing the data archiving processes based on different retention policies
- Build and manage monitoring and alerting on data systems, reducing the downtimes, and manage the maintenance tasks and workload
- Evaluate complex issues for customerimpacting issue resolution
- Demonstrate a degree of knowledge throughout all CMLS products and technologies
- Stay current in data technology trends and proactively provides technology recommendations
- Assist in establishing service level agreements and monitoring progress toward key service delivery performance indicators (KPI's) or metrics
- Collaborate in the development and delivery of data technology standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure data security across the enterprise
Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge Requirements:
- SQL Server database administration, performance management, capacity planning, high availability, disaster recovery, and other database administration tasks and responsibilities
- Azure database administration (mostly on SQL based technology)
- Modern data flows, working on several data sources, in hybrid environments with diverse levels of cloud maturity
- Tools, methods, and best practices for designing, building, and managing databases and data flow pipelines and ETLs
- Extended experience with Microsoft data platform is considered an asset (SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI)
- Administrating modern BI, analytic, and reporting tool and methods
- A proven track record in designing and developing enterprise level database systems, and successful execution of it
- A working knowledge and experience in administration and managing data pipelines and ETLs (SSIS, ADF, Synapse, Power BI, etc.)
- Cloud database technology, migration, resource management, and security practices

- Work with crossfunctional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals
- Participate in rotational oncall duties to support mission critical workflows
