  • The ESG Ratings Lead is responsible for driving efficient and highquality research and ratings processes, managing research projects with an industry or thematic focus, enhancing our current transparent assessment and ratings methodology, and making contributions to our thought leadership and ESG expertise. The ESG Ratings Lead will be responsible for conducting research to evaluate a company's sustainability performance. This research will assess company performance in a number of sustainabilityrelated areas, including working standards and conditions, environmental management, emission and resource consumption data as well as several Healthcare sectorspecific key issues. This work involves reviewing company documents such as sustainability reports, annual reports and corporate websites, identifying relevant topics, and analyzing them based on our proprietary methodology. Qualitative and quantitative analysis will be used to generate individual rating reports as well as studies on selected topic
- or Healthcare sector-related sustainability trends as needed.

  • This person is also responsible for providing management support to a team of ESG Ratings analysts. This includes oversight of, and accountability for, team performance; professional guidance and career development support for team members; and related administrative tasks and duties.


  • Key Responsibilities

  • Management of global team members.
  • Providing professional guidance and career development support for team members.
  • Systematic ESG data gathering from company materials (e.g., sustainability reports, company websites, annual reports).
  • Taking ownership of production targets and delivering the research within timelines outlined in the processes and quality standards.
  • Maintaining oversight of team performance and research quality, and addressing any issues as needed.
  • Supporting the ratings team by the means of thought leadership and research publications, methodology reviews, and ESG market developments monitoring.
  • Participation in quality assurance procedures. Support implementation of quality control measures.
  • Providing research team support to colleagues on ISS' Sales team and Account Management team as needed.
  • Qualifications 5+ years' of relevant professional experience. Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, work experience in a sustainabilityrelated field (environment, labor issues, human rights, etc.), finance and financial services, accounting, healthcare, and general business.
  • Management experience.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree. An MBA is also desirable.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and oral (proficiency in additional languages is a bonus).
  • Integrity, organizational skills, attention to detail, a selfdriven work ethic, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment and field.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines and balancing production volumes with high quality standards.
  • Strong and effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to quickly process large amounts of data and information.
