Director, Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:
Controlled Environments Limited (Coviron) is searching for a student to fill a summer term Technical Writer role. The Technical Writer will be responsible for the continuous improvement of our controlled documents.
The Technical Writer will review, update, and create various documents to bring synergy to the way Conviron stores and maintains documents.
This role requires advanced skill in Microsoft Word (or other document creation software), excellent attention to details and give you the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from all areas of the business.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Become familiar with cataloging software (Unipoint) and review various document templates (policies, procedures, work instructions, forms)
- Review examples of document types from each department and develop a template for policies and procedures that can be used corporately
- Develop a work instruction template that can be used for all Conviron teams
- Develop a template and or guidelines that can be used for creating fillable forms
- Work with teams (HR, Production, Engineering, Sales, etc) to review Active Documents and update format to newly created templates
- Identify documents that are out of date and engage appropriate managers to update or obsolete
- Identify any major inconsistencies within the use of the Unipoint fields among document users
- Other duties as assigned
Key Attributes & Qualifications:
- Organized and detail orientated
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Word
- Experience creating and managing controlled documents
- Enjoys collaboration and continuous improvement
- Familiarity with Unipoint is an asset
