Description

The Rehabilitation Support Worker (RSW) assists/teaches/supervises clients/tenants with physical disabilities and frail seniors in activities of daily living and personal care so that maximum independence and identified goals are achieved.

Postsecondary education or experience in Occupational/Physical Therapy required.
Understanding, commitment and ability to express and demonstrate the philosophy of independent living required.
Able to work in a professional manner independently as well as with direction required.
Uptodate First Aid Course required.
Group facilitation skills with emphasis on leading group discussions preferred.
Experience and knowledge in working as a member of an interdisciplinary team preferred.
At least 5 years of experience working with frail elderly and physically disabled preferred.
Experience completing Rai Cha Assessments is considered an asset.
Excellent work attendance record required.
Some shift work may be required.

Also required is access to dependable transportation and a driver's license.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 3 months

Salary:
$20.29-$23.41 per hour
