Description

The Rehabilitation Support Worker (RSW) assists/teaches/supervises clients/tenants with physical disabilities and frail seniors in activities of daily living and personal care so that maximum independence and identified goals are achieved.


  • Postsecondary education or experience in Occupational/Physical Therapy required.
  • Understanding, commitment and ability to express and demonstrate the philosophy of independent living required.
  • Able to work in a professional manner independently as well as with direction required.
  • Uptodate First Aid Course required.
  • Group facilitation skills with emphasis on leading group discussions preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge in working as a member of an interdisciplinary team preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with frail elderly and physically disabled preferred.
  • Experience completing Rai Cha Assessments is considered an asset.
  • Excellent work attendance record required.
  • Some shift work may be required.

Also required is access to dependable transportation and a driver's license.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 3 months


Salary:
$20.29-$23.41 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
