Department Overview
As a member of the Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Advice and Governance team, you will work with a dedicated team to solve our business leaders' organization design and effectiveness challenges.
developing workplans, analyzing organization effectiveness issues, facilitating workshops, assembling research and insights, developing actionable recommendations and preparing presentations and documents.
In addition to other initiatives supported by the Organizational Effectiveness Advice team, this role will support the Next Evolution of Work (NEW) Program, enabling business leaders and HRBPs across TD to transform how teams work and the way we deliver value to our customers in an Agile manner.
As a respected OE Specialist, you are well positioned as a professional who has strong business acumen, analysis, communications, and stakeholder management skills.
- Providing day to day consulting support to OE Managers, OE Senior Advisors, or the Associate Vice President to lead assigned initiatives (depending on complexity) under mínimal management guidance, generating valuable insights and creative solutions based on business needs and strategy
- Leading alignment efforts across stakeholders and managing logistics to execute specialized OE consulting initiatives
- Performing analysis for OE initiatives related to scaled agile organization design, NEW model maturity, and related activities; proactively providing organizational design proposals / considerations in alignment with org design principles
- Integrating the broader organizational context into advice and solutions within own area
- Leading creation of deliverables (presentations, tools, and options) independently or with guidance from OE Managers, OE Senior Advisors or the Associate Vice President depending on complexity and receiving audience
- Preparing organizational analytics to identify structural and organizational systemic issues and opportunities; proactively integrating data into org design work through org health metrics and other available information
- Coleading workshops including preparing materials and outputs
- Liaising with business stakeholders where required for information, setting up workshops/ meetings, or other general scheduling
- Leading on job evaluation for NEW executive roles with OE Governance as required
- Drafting monthly status reports and managing stories within Jira
- Maintaining currency on leading practices and industry trends related to organization effectiveness; sharing research, best practices and learnings to the team
- Supporting NEW Journey, Platform, Practice and COE portfolios as and when needed
- Developing OE practice and offerings in collaboration with larger team
Job Requirements
You're a confident professional with research and qualitative data analysis skills, and an articulate communicator (written and oral) who can serve as a 'point person' for OE consulting initiatives, and possesses the following:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in organization design, organization effectiveness, or human capital strategies and projects. Consulting experience preferred.
- Understanding of Scaled Agile and agile team structures/operating models is an asset
- Understanding of Scrum practices, Jira and/or agile ceremonies is an asset
- Scrum or Agile certification is an asset
- A strong ability to understand how organizations function and how organization effectiveness is enabled.
- Ability to anticipate the longerterm impact of decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving,
- Ability to solve ambiguous, complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, including consultation with multiple stakeholders
- High proficiency in qualitative data analysis, using results to draw conclusions and make recommendations
- Ability to organize and present complex information/concepts in a persuasive manner, tailored to the audience
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence
- Strong resultsoriented project management skills; well organized, with a high attention to detail.
- Highlevel expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is essential.
- Undergraduate degree in HR, or Organizational Development/Behaviour. Post graduate degree is an asset.
