HOW TO JOIN OUR TEAM:


You should have experience and be comfortable with all types of carpentry including but not limited to form work, framing and finishing.


It's expected you complete tasks assigned without constant supervision and be interested in helping manage the site, crew and sub trades in the absence of the Site Supervisor.


You should have an excellent work ethic, solid communication skills, own a complete array of tools, a reliable vehicle and always represent the company in a positive manner.


This position is ideally suited for someone aspiring to be a Site Supervisor / Site Lead or Lead Carpenter role.
To qualify for the role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • _*Red Seal Carpentry Ticket is highly preferred, not a requisite_

Minimum 4 to 5 + years experience in the construction industry:


  • Must be a resident of Canada for at least 1 year:
-
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials:

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, and specifications
  • Follow site safety regulations and quality standards
  • Understanding of the BC Building Code
  • Understanding of Vancouver's industry bylaws
-
Valid current driver's license and own a reliable vehicle:

  • Sound judgment with the ability to take direction and work without supervision
  • Highly motivated selfstarter who works well in a team environment
  • Must own steel toed boots/shoes, and having your own tools is an asset
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Provide training and guidance to apprentice carpenters as needed
