Firestop Installers and Trainees - Industrial, Commercial & Institutional Division (ICI)


Location:
GTA, London, KW, Niagara Region Ontario
Great Northern Insulation is currently recruiting for full-time Firestop
Installers and Trainees for our ICI Division in the GTA, London, KW, and
Niagara Regions. These positions focus on work within our commercial and industrial sectors.

Requirements:


  • Ability to work in different environmental conditions (indoors/ outdoors, hot/ cold)
  • Ability to work province wide, if needed, is an asset but not required
  • G Driver's license
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and tight spaces
  • Working at Heights and Elevated Platform training preferred but will be provided if required
  • Proven ability to work effectively as a team
  • Proven time management, problemsolving and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work OT and weekends when needed
  • Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
  • Construction experience preferred but not required

Standard Job Duties:


  • Install various Firestop materials including caulking, Firestop Sprays, and Mineral Wool.
  • Duties also include accurate and ontime completion of paperwork, loading/unloading materials and equipment, job site cleanup, and various maintenance tasks as needed
  • Ability to work Mon-Fri (occasional weekends), start time as early as 6am with flexible start/end times

Work Environment:


  • Installers work both in pairs and alone depending on the job site
  • Work both indoors and outdoors
  • Working at heights
  • Standing, bending, lifting, Elevated Platform, and ladder use
  • Wearing PPE such as safety boots, safety glasses, gloves, masks/respirators, and overalls
  • Use of common handheld power tools.
