Career Opportunity:


  • We have an opening in our Finance Department for a Cost Control Analyst
    What You Will Do:
  • As the Cost Control Analyst you will provide cost control support by analyzing, monitoring and reporting on TTC expenditures to be billed back to Metrolinx as per the Subways Program Agreement for the implementation of the four provincial priority transit projects between the TTC and Metrolinx.
  • In addition, you will work with various stakeholders, systems, and sources to identify and validate billable labour and non-labour charges, prepare invoices, and provide the supporting documentation and progress reports required by Metrolinx.
  • The incumbent will also liaise with project stakeholders in Engineering Construction and Expansion and Operations to keep abreast of project status and provide guidance on which project accounts to use for processing charges.-
    What Qualifications Do You Bring?:
  • Completion of a University Degree, or College Diploma in a related discipline (e.g. Business Administration) or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed to be equivalent
  • Sound knowledge of standard accounting principles and practices
  • Comprehensive knowledge of costing concepts, procedures and techniques
  • Sound judgement; attention to detail; welldeveloped analytical, problem solving, organizational, interpersonal, oral communication and report writing skills
  • Must have the ability to provide clear and direct guidance to others and effectively motivate and coordinate their efforts
  • Must have or rapidly acquire a comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario Human Rights Code and Related Orders including disability accommodation and accessibility requirements pertaining to passengers and employees
