What will you do?


Reporting to the Patient Services, Manager, the administrative assistant is responsible for managing the clerical activities that support the work of the Manager(s) Patient Services department.

Provides a wide range of administrative support and clerical duties to support leadership in their functional areas. This includes dealing with highly confidential information.

Must act and operate in an independent fashion and take initiative to ensure that matters are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner by responding on behalf of the Manager(s) on routine and non-routine inquiries.

Part of a support team providing administrative assistance to the Executive Management Team as well backing up one another.


What must you have?

  • Postsecondary education in office administration or related field combined with a minimum of two (2) years' experience in an administrative assistant role.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, assessment, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills
  • Effective time management, prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a busy multidisciplinary environment
  • Established ability to accurately complete required documentation, reports and forms
  • A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Proficiency in a Windows environment
  • We have a mandatory COVID19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, all employees are required to submit proof of COVID19 vaccination status prior to start date.

What would give you the edge?

  • Basic knowledge of and adherence to relevant legislation such as Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA).
  • Basic understanding of issues and priorities within the healthcare sector.
  • Knowledge of government cyclical planning, review and reporting requirements
  • Good understanding of Home and Community Care Support Services business objectives and programs
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to speak French or another second language

$24.95-$29.79 per hour
