Job Description:


This is a 15-Month Contract Position
Purpose of Position


Accountable for creating and delivering meaningful communication and opportunities for dialogue across FSRA in support of corporate culture and operational strategies, programs, and policies.


Accountable for promoting and evolving FSRA's culture, employee experience and engagement initiatives by planning, developing and maintaining various internal channels, including the intranet, newsletter, and corporate events.


Accountable for delivering the communication priorities of the Human Resource function and other Corporate Services teams in a way that resonates with all employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the planning, development, and implementation of the internal communications plan and tactics including programs, events, projects, and initiatives to support the culture, employee experience, and values.
  • Provides expertise to the Human Resources (HR) function in planning, creating and distributing internal communications products for the coordinated roll out of HR programs and initiatives through consistent messaging and branding, which both meet business needs and employee expectations.
  • Acts as a trusted resource for FSRA executive leadership in developing tactics and messaging for programs or services, while having a deep understanding of employee needs and behaviours.
  • Researches, develops and/or edits a range of communications products using a consistent voice, ensuring risk identification and mitigation with regards to competing timelines.
  • Provides project leadership of multiple concurrent communications project initiatives and events, including mobilizing and leading team members from across HR and the leadership team, and external vendors as required.
  • Maintains the FSRA intranet site promoting FSRA mission, vision and values and advancing the employee experience.
  • Leads the development and publishing of the quarterly employee newsletter.
  • Develops and manages relationships with communications colleagues in the Public Affairs Office to leverage opportunities for collaboration, support, and services.
  • Participates in HR and corporate committees.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Degree/Diploma in Communications, Public Relations or related field.
years' experience in communication strategy development and implementation, preferably with some internal communications experience.

  • Experience in hybrid and inperson event planning.
Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge and expertise in communications theories, principles, and best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills to develop a range of quality, creative communications products using a consistent voice and tone.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate, influence and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders (including at a senior level) across the organization.
  • Project management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect an ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with excellent attention to detail.
  • Presentation, influencing and networking skills.
  • Ability to create excitement and drive engagement through words and actions.
