To meet the needs of our clients, our team is supported by Control System Specialists at every level.


WHAT YOU WOULD DO

  • Uphold safe work practices as per RidgeTech Automation's safety policies and requirements
  • Primarily responsible for the technical control system aspects of projects
  • Manage client relationship and project scope under direction of Team Lead(s); communicating project schedule requirements
  • Complete controls designs and electrical schematics; specifying hardware and components
  • Develop PLC/HMI/SCADA programs; Set up VFD's and Servo systems
  • Contribute to automation projects through the entire design system process
  • Commissioning and debugging support of panels at builder and client sites
  • Troubleshooting electrical/mechanical and fluid power systems
  • Teaching robot paths; setting up and verifying safety systems
  • Collaborate and provide support to other Team Members

WHAT YOU BRING

Required Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems or Robotics & Automation
  • Applicable experience in the Controls and Automation Industry
  • Senior Team Members have a minimum of 7 years of experience
  • Intermediate Team Members typically have 37 years of experience
  • Junior Team Members have 13 years of experience, including coop placements
  • Valid Drivers License & access to reliable transportation (to travel to local client sites and the Cambridge office) Valid Passport to allow for international travel without restrictions

  • Must have a positive attitude and be able to communicate well with both clients and team members
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Highly motivated and reliable team player
  • Be able to work well independently, staying both efficient and motivated
  • Have a strong willingness to learn and be a wellrounded team member
  • Willingness to travel locally or abroad
  • We strive to maintain a local workload, domestic and global travel may be required. The locations and length of travel will vary depending on the projects and workloads at any given time.

OTHER NOTES

  • Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada and be able to travel to the office in Cambridge and local client sites (1.5 radius of office).
