The project focuses on re-imagining the clinical workflows, enabled by the new Meditech Expanse platform and will impact over 30,000 staff and clinicians.

As a Portfolio Manager in our Informatics team at Fraser Health, you'll provide senior-level guidance and leadership within assigned portfolios, focusing on the development and implementation of application content.
You'll lead enterprise-wide projects for business and clinical information systems/electronic health records, managing timelines, resources, and budgets, while providing direction to team members and overseeing service design, transition, and operations management strategies.
Provide oversight and guidance for the design, build, and implementation of Meditech Expanse – electronic health record.Offer senior-level advice and consultation across various disciplines and stakeholders, contributing to strategic planning, business case development, and process re-engineering initiatives.
Lead large, complex projects, managing timelines, resources, and change management strategies, while identifying and mitigating risks.Ensure project closure through post-implementation evaluation, measuring outcomes, assessing staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and aligning projects with Fraser Health's strategic plan.
Bachelor's degree in Health Information Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related study or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Seven (7) years of related experience in a large complex organization including at least three (3) years' experience as a Project Manager.
Experience with health and corporate information systems.Experience developing and enhancing electronic health records
This is a Temporary Full Time Permanent position, and based in Surrey, B.C. and is offered Hybrid, work from home. This role requires site travel from Burnaby to Hope BC and a car is required.

Leads and is accountable for enterprise-wide business and clinical information systems projects; develops project budgets provides leadership to team members and facilitates service design, transition and operations management strategies.
Provides senior level advice and guidance by consulting to all disciplines and stakeholders within an assigned portfolio by keeping abreast of the initiatives and issues within the business areas assigned and conducts strategic planning in the development of business cases, and process re-engineering initiatives.
# Provides project leadership to a variety of large, complex projects including a number of diverse disciplines and/or affecting multiple stakeholders; develops and manages project timelines; identifies, sources and manages resources such as contractors, staff or dollars; identifies and mitigates project related risks; Ensures project closure by providing post-implementation evaluation; measuring key outcomes, assessing project related staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, obtaining project sign off, and documenting lessons learned. Ensures that projects and initiatives are aligned with the Fraser Health strategic plan.# authorize leaves of absences and approves overtime as necessary.
# Ensures the implementation of correct human resource standards and procedures by interpreting and administering the applicable collective agreements; Provides leadership to staff assigned to lead small to medium scale projects by providing guidance on project management duties, budget management, or technical issues; receives updates from assigned team leaders on project status.
# Provides input into project budget development and, once approved, manages the budget dollars by approving required contractors, purchasing software and hardware. Monitors and reports on budget variances if necessary and discusses with project sponsor as required.
# Liaises and communicates with project sponsors and stakeholders by monitoring and reporting on all phases of projects to ensure success and to increase overall quality of products implemented. Provides updates on project status and all aspects of the project as required.
# Manages assigned projects through the project management lifecycle using standard documentation methodologies such as project charters.
# Champions project management methodologies and best practices through mentoring, coaching, and communicating with team members, business units and staff. Liaises with outside vendors, reviews bids and/or negotiates equipment and/or service contracts, and makes recommendations where necessary to the Manager. Monitors the level of support to ensure requirements and expectations of the contract(s) are met.
# Provides expert advice and consultation by performing or managing the research, analysis, and recommendations for proposed technology changes. Provides input into application development and into the use of new technology for inclusion in the technology architecture. Provides consultation and advice to senior management on application technology alternatives and solutions.
# Participates in assigned Fraser Health, Provincial, and Federal committees;
Bachelor's degree in Health Information Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related study or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Seven (7) years of related experience in a large complex organization including at least three (3) years' experience as a Project Manager.
