The Opportunity:


We are looking for an experienced, creative, and strategic Events & Webinars Manager to join the Growth Marketing Team at ApplyBoard.

In this role, you'll be responsible for planning and executing a range of global sales, branding, thought leadership, and community events, in-person and online, which will improve awareness of the ApplyBoard brand, generate new business, and enable thousands of students to access educational opportunities.

You will also be responsible for creating webinars and presentations to educate our target audiences about our platform and the industry, promote our partner schools, and share the ApplyBoard story.

What you'll be doing everyday:

  • Oversee and own ApplyBoard's global events marketing strategy, with a strong focus on trade show presence, brand awareness, ApplyBoard hosted conferences (TRW & Educate the World), and lead generation.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure events accomplish shared goals of building and accelerating pipeline, expanding existing customer base, and building a community of loyal ApplyBoard customers.
  • Partner with Content, Creative, and Brand teams to innovate on how ApplyBoard shows up and connects with customers and prospects at events.
  • Collaborate with Growth, Sales, and Partner Relations teams to create engaging and impactful experiences across all touchpoints from preevent thru postevent moments.
  • Ensure branding and messaging are always on point for events across all regions.
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to plan promotional activities for events.
  • Nurture relationships with vendors, partners, and other stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure events achieve forecasted targets and demonstrate ROI.
  • Oversee event operations, including budget, driving organizational efficiencies, technology innovation, setting success metrics, and reporting out the impact and ROI of events.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective partnerships and interact with both internal and external customers at all levels.
  • Lead a team of Event Specialists to plan and execute worldclass global events.
  • Champion continuous evolution of event experiences through customer and stakeholder feedback.

  • Research topics, gathering data and information that can be translated into compelling storiesWhat you bring to the table:
  • 7+ years experience in event management from tabletop sponsorships to premium, large booth property sponsorships, preferably for a high
  • tech, B2B SaaS technology company or learning focused organization.
  • CMP, PMP or DES certification preferred
  • Agency experience preferred
  • BA or higher in business, technology, marketing or equivalent experience.
  • Positive and motivated self
  • starter who is creative, collaborative, and resourceful.
  • Proven track record for setting vision for B2B, and B2C marketing events strategy that propels brand awareness, wins new customers, creates deep advocacy, and drives business impact.
  • Experience leading and motivating a team of event specialists.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including ability to present and effectively interact with executive leadership.
  • Expert knowledge of event and marketing strategies, tactics, best practices, measurement tools, and emerging technologies.
  • Detailed knowledge of the components of an event budget and how to manage and reconcile event related costs to maximize efficiencies.
  • Proven ability to prioritize effectively while managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Data

  • Experience with tools such as SFMC, Eventbrite, Survey Monkey, and project management tools like Airtable.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in an international and diverse environment.
  • Ability to travel, including some evenings and weekends.
