Peterbilt Manitoba Ltd. is looking for an organized and highly-motivated _PacLease Shop Supervisor_ to join the Winnipeg PacLease Team.Reporting directly to the PacLease Manager, the _Paclease Shop Supervisor _is responsible for coordinating repair operations, ensuring optimal workflow, and maintaining inventory levels.
Additionally, they oversee Technician training and development, implement efficient shop practices, and liaise with customers to ensure satisfaction with repairs.
The Role:
- Assign repair orders; plan and control work distribution with Technicians
- Oversee repair performance; assist Technicians in performing problem repairs
- Communicate work performance, necessary repair order extensions, and additional service needs to the Service Writer
- Ensure high level of efficiency; analyze, identify, and improve problem areas in process or repairs
- Order and maintain adequate inventory of shop supplies, cleaning equipment, and material; submit purchase proposals to PacLease Manager
- Establish and adhere to maintenance schedule for service facility and shop equipment
- Supervise and monitor Technician online training
- Keeps abreast of shop methods, tools, and techniques
- Make recommendations regarding employment of shop personnel
- Ensure outside repairs are properly scheduled, completed, and quoted; ensure payments for such work are in order
- Perform service writing and warranty administration as needed
- Conduct after service inspection and road test to ensure repair quality
- Liaise with customer to discuss and explain repairs
- Deal with roadside repairs as needed after hours
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 1 drivers license is required
- Previous fleet experience considered an asset
- Team leader with a strong and dependable work ethic
- Ability to multitask, prioritize daily workloads, problem solve, and adapt in a fastpaced work environment
- Tenacious problem solver with the ability to identify problems and implement solutions
- Customeroriented with superior interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic personality
- Exemplary time management and organizational skills
- Physically fit and able to lift 50lbs. consistently and safely
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
