Jr. Application Support Representative - Fire Team

Responsibilities:


  • Professionally handle incoming requests from customers and ensure that issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly
  • Perform Rackup, Programming, Testing of fire alarm systems along with other fire protection equipment
  • Develop test strategies and procedures for design verification of fire alarm control panels
  • Design, Implement, and manage own lab test networks
  • Employ problemsolving strategies and find solutions to product design issues
  • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer's experience
  • Participate in ongoing product and technical training
  • Any other related duties as determined by management

Requirements and Skills:


  • Postsecondary College Graduate in design or a related electronic industry field
  • Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) Registration or CFAA Student working towards CFAA certification
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of infield Life Safety Systems technical experience
  • Possess a valid and clean motor vehicle license (G License) an asset
  • Understanding of the Life Safety Industry codes and standards an asset
  • Proven analytical skills and the ability to identify customer needs and the ability to effectively communicate them required
  • Able to read and understand engineered drawings, specifications, programs, schematics, installation manuals, and service manuals
  • Strong presentation, oratory, and written skills
  • Demonstrated ability to finish multiple projects on time and scale
  • Ability to follow through and complete overlapping projects
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
  • Excellent organization and project management skills, including the ability to multitask in a fastpaced product development environment
  • Able to work with mínimal supervision
  • Detail oriented
  • Analytical and creative thinker
