DMC is currently looking for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis in our Val Caron Office in Sudbury.

The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will be responsible for administrating, processing and managing payroll for site employees according to payroll schedules.

Responsiblities:
  • Responsible for payroll processing
  • Responsible for collecting, reviewing, and uploading Timesheets from Dynamics 365 ERP system from all sites into Avanti (inhouse payroll system) before the payroll deadline.
  • Responsible for Training and Standardizing Payroll Processes for all Payroll Clerks across the multiple sites.
  • Responsible for providing a reconciliation of all the hours by site and employee.
  • Provide Tools, Training and Support to Payroll Clerks on New Project Start Ups
  • Building relationships with Multiple Teams
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Sites to ensure the integrity of employee records by collecting and verifying payroll site related information for processing information in Dynamics 365 ERP system.
  • Collaborate with other Team Members related to Payroll to ensure continuity between Departments.
  • Organization of payroll site files (Timesheets) and records for auditing purposes etc.
  • Facilitates change management efforts to support client groups with transforming Payroll processes with ongoing digital transformation initiatives; executes Payroll sub projects; and participates in focus groups when required.
  • Partners with client groups to understand and address business issues, while leveraging opportunities to develop strategic Payroll initiatives.
  • Works with assigned client groups to identify and plan for Payroll requirements to meet short
- and long-term business requirements.

  • Supports corporate special projects, including Payroll Project Development, Training, and Rollout.
  • Acts as first point of contact responding to inquiries and handling site concerns in a timely manner.
  • Develops and implements Payroll training programs.
  • Other related duties, as may be assigned.
  • Travel to sites once a quarter.

Qualifications:


  • National Payroll Institution, PCP Designation preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a full payroll cycle, ideally with experience in highvolume payroll functions.
  • Experience in ERP system administration, ideally with Dynamics 365 is highly preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy a must.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
