Nature & Scope:

The Team Lead, Youth Programs is responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of
the Brockville YMCA's youth programing. The incumbent is responsible for the delivery and
oversight of high-quality, values-based programs and for providing strong leadership, coaching and
modelling to staff and volunteers to ensure a positive experience for participants.

Responsibilities:

Deliver and oversee all youth programs
Communicate effectively with YMCA staff as well as parents and guardians as needed to

ensure a positive experience for youth participants, members, and staff

Support the hiring, onboarding, and training of Youth Program staff and volunteers in

coordination with the Regional Supervisor, Youth and Camp Programs

Provides direction, support and mentoring to Youth Program staff
Maintain records and complete reporting in a timely fashion in accordance with YMCA

standards and funding requirements

Maintain open communication with the Regional Supervisor, Youth and Camp Programs to

address any needs or areas of concern

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Postsecondary education in a related field or combination of education and experience

relevant to the position

Minimum 2 years' experience working direction with youth
Knowledge of harm reduction and mental health first aid
Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check completed not more than

120 days prior to interview, with results acceptable to the YMCA of Eastern Ontario

Current Standard First Aid and CPR "C" certifications
