Nature & Scope:
The Team Lead, Youth Programs is responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of
the Brockville YMCA's youth programing. The incumbent is responsible for the delivery and
oversight of high-quality, values-based programs and for providing strong leadership, coaching and
modelling to staff and volunteers to ensure a positive experience for participants.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver and oversee all youth programs
- Communicate effectively with YMCA staff as well as parents and guardians as needed to
- Support the hiring, onboarding, and training of Youth Program staff and volunteers in
- Provides direction, support and mentoring to Youth Program staff
- Maintain records and complete reporting in a timely fashion in accordance with YMCA
- Maintain open communication with the Regional Supervisor, Youth and Camp Programs to
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Postsecondary education in a related field or combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience working direction with youth
- Knowledge of harm reduction and mental health first aid
- Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check completed not more than
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR "C" certifications
